WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

Entry Requirements

Core Subjects: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.

Elective Subjects: Credit passes in in THREE subjects as follows:

• B.Ed. STEM (Robotics): Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, ICT or Electronics.

B. GCE ADVANCE LEVEL AND EQUIVALENT APPLICANTS

Entry Requirements

• ‘O’ Level or equivalent: Credit passes in FIVE (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics, and credit passes in THREE A ‘Level’ subjects as follows:

• B. Ed. STEM (Robotics): Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.

C. HND

Entry Requirements

• An applicants shall have at least Second Class Honour in any relevant discipline.

• An Applicant must satisfy the requirements for WASSCE/SSSCE or ‘A’ Level.

D. MATURE

Entry Requirements

• Applicants should be at least 25 years at the time of the application.

• Applicants must satisfy the general requirements for the programme (i.e. WASSCE/SSSCE, or ‘A’ Level, or HND/Diploma).

• Short-listed applicants may take an Entrance Examination and pass an interview.

E. INTERNATIONAL AND OTHER APPLICANTS

• International Baccalaureate applicants may apply with contents of programmes equivalent to the Ghanaian WASSCE/SSSCE or the Ghanaian ‘A’ Level programmes.

• Credit passes of International Baccalaureate applicants shall meet requirements 1.0 and 2.0 with equivalent certificates.

Exit Requirements

Student teachers are expected to accumulate a minimum of 144 credits.

The student teacher must:

fully meet the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS)
achieve a minimum CGPA of 1.5 or CWA of 50 in all courses
successful completion of All Supported Teaching in schools requirements
